Suayip Emre ("WE", "OUR" or "US") built the Vocapto app (hereinafter referred to as the "Service" or "App") as a Freemium (Free, ad-supported, and subscription-enabled) application. This SERVICE is provided by Suayip Emre and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors about our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email address, and user ID. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.
User Accounts (Registration/Login Information):
When you need to create a user account (using Supabase infrastructure), we collect authenticating information such as your first name, last name, and email address. This information is mandatory to secure your access to the app's features (such as cross-device synchronization of your voice recordings, etc.).
Voice Recordings (Microphone Access) and Media Files:
• Microphone: Due to its features, the application uses your device's microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) to record conversations and transcribe them into text.
• Device Files: Access to your device's storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, etc.) is requested so that you can select existing audio or video files from your device (100% with your consent) and upload them to the application.
• How is it processed? These audio data are transmitted to OpenAI (Whisper API and GPT-4 service) providers by us for "transcription" (converting to text) and "artificial intelligence analysis" (extracting summaries, determining action tasks). Your personal voice recordings are not used by OpenAI to train artificial intelligence models; they are only transmitted via API to receive instant service.
Communication and Feedback Forms:
When you write to us to get support using the in-app communication feature (Contact Service), your "User ID, Email Address, and Message" are saved in our company's secure databases (Supabase) to carry out the support process.
2. Third-Party Service Providers
Our application uses the services of external third-party providers to offer secure data processing, in-app ad publishing, and subscription features.
Please review the privacy policies of some of the external providers we use that may have access to your data:
• Google Play Services (Basic services necessary for the application to function)
• AdMob (Our application may collect identifiers such as Google Advertising ID for ad display and analysis purposes. This information is used to measure ad performance and block inappropriate ads. Users can restrict this tracking from their device settings.)
• RevenueCat (Managing in-app subscriptions - Premium versions)
• Supabase (User accounts, secure login, and hosting basic data)
• OpenAI (Voice transcribing and generating speech reports service)
Your audio files/texts sent to these third parties (especially OpenAI) for analysis or transcription are only processed until the result is returned to you and are under the legal guarantees of the companies.
3. Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error (Crash, etc.) in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. This data is for diagnosing crash issues and improving the app.
4. Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means (SSL encryption technologies) of protecting it. All features within the app, including the wallet (Cargo Wallet) and credit balances, are securely hosted. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. In-App Subscriptions and Purchases
The Vocapto application offers paid premium features. Users who subscribe to the Premium version are not shown "AdMob" ads. Your payment transactions occur over Google Play's or the App Store's own billing system; our application essentially does not save your card number. Your purchases are only synchronized with the RevenueCat system to confirm the duration of use.
6. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
8. Your Data Retention and Deletion Rights
We retain the data we collect for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide you with the Service. Users can request the permanent deletion of their accounts and all data associated with this account (voice recordings, transcripts, etc.) from the in-app settings section or by contacting us via contact@emresozen.dev. Upon your request, your data will be completely cleared from our systems (including Supabase and related backups) within 30 days.
